With the holidays rapidly approaching, we’re exited about all of the ways to incorporate Annie Sloan in to your home’s decor. This time around for our workshop we provided wooden pedestals to pump up your holiday tablescape…perfect for elevating your centerpiece or main course! We hand-picked each pedestal from a vintage stall at High Point Market and hauled them back for everyone to use and then take home with them at the end of the workshop.
This Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan 101 Workshop was our biggest and most successful yet! We had 18 ladies come out on Sunday night to create their own Chalk Paint® masterpiece…including one previous student who has started painting commission pieces for her own clients! I have to take a second to brag on Shannon and what she’s done with Chalk Paint® so far! She had to stop by the workshop to show off her pieces and give our ladies some helpful tips. Check out Shannon’s bedroom furniture that she painted with Old Ochre, Coco, and Paris Grey.
Didn’t she do an amazing job? Her bedroom furniture was 20 years old and an orange oak color that just didn’t go with their style now. Why spend the money on an entire new bedroom suite when you can make it look brand new for a fraction of the cost! And now she and her husband get to enjoy their bedroom suite all over again!

We start all of our 101 workshops with a bit of background on Annie Sloan herself and all of her products and an explanation of the techniques we’ll be covering. Then after answering some questions, we get to the fun part!

We are so thankful to have so many creative ladies come out to try their hand at Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan! We were so proud of everyone’s finished product! Some ladies were taking their antique pedestal home to put in the center of their Thanksgiving table to set the turkey platter on, some were going to use it on their sideboard to set candlesticks and garland on, and a few even had the idea to place them in their bedroom to display jewelry and perfumes on!
